About this site
One World of English is a site to help you learn English by One World, a language school in Cagliari, Sardinia.
The goal of One World of English is to help you to learn English using things which you see and hear every day. We believe that if you like something you will learn from it more easily and more enthusiastically.
For example, if you like the song “Blowin’ in the wind” and you see the words “How many roads must a man walk down” and you remember that when there is an “s” at the end of the next word we say “how many” and when there is no “s” we say “how much”, you will probably remember it better than if you read a grammar book.
This is the idea behind the site: introducing you to what we believe to be the best songs, films, television and writings the English language has to offer and learning from them. In the words of Bruce Springsteen, “We learned more from a three minute record baby than we ever learned in school”.
And if you want to do a complete online course with video lessons, tests and a certificate at the end, One World Online School has courses from A1.1 (Elementary 1) to B2.2 (Upper intermediate) level. Get a 7 day free trial here.
