One World of English is a site by David Tomkinson, founder and director of The One World Language Centre, a language school in Cagliari, Sardinia.
The goal of One World of English is to help you to learn English using things which you see and hear every day. I believe that if you like something you will learn from it more easily and more enthusiastically. For example, if you like the song “Blowin' in the wind” and you see the words “How many roads must a man walk down” and I say to you that as a general rule when there is an “s” at the end of the following word we say “how many” and when there is no “s” we say “how much”, you will probably remember it better than if you read a grammar book.
This is the idea behind the site: introducing you to what I believe to be the best songs, films, television and writings the English language has to offer and learning from them.
In the words of the Boss, “We learned more from a three minute record baby than we ever learned in school”.
